Dear Cleveland Arts Education Consortium
members and friends,
Covid-19 has impacted us all, including CAEC members, for more than a year. You all had to make complex decisions to stay afloat, protect staff, artists, and programs. What you have done is brave and spectacular. As everyone begins to emerge and readjust, many of the new ways online for art presentations, exhibitions, and immersive arts education will carry us forward and be intertwined with existing and new in-person activities.
There are two CAEC publications that our members helped to create that can be helpful resources. Each can be downloaded from the Quick Links at the right and shared with people of every age - students and adults, to point the way to imaginative learning programs across all arts disciplines.
I’m pleased to point you to CAEC's 2021 Community Partner film with the Cleveland International Film Festival.
Called "Havel" – the film is streaming throughout the festival, April 8-20, and recounts how Czechoslovakian national playwright Václav Havel became a powerful dissident, hero, and President of the Czech Republic after the fall of communism. Standing up for freedom and rights was essential in his life and is so for us all.
We are honored to partner once again with CIFF. Watch for more information. Use code CAEC for $1 off your ticket.
Stay safe and well - get your vaccinations and enjoy the days of spring.
