The purpose of the Humanities Consortium is to promote research, teaching, and discussion throughout the humanities and related interpretive disciplines at Cleveland State University. The aims of the Consortium include:
- contributing to the joint intellectual, creative and cultural life of the University
- encouraging communication across disciplinary lines
- facilitating new collaboration within the humanities
- promoting external funding of humanities research and teaching
- creating new connections between humanistic scholars and the Cleveland community
