CityMusic Cleveland is a professional chamber orchestra, founded to perform free concerts throughout Northeast Ohio, accompanied by art shows of local artists. Our mission is to develop audiences and build communities through the arts by presenting the finest quality performances of classical repertoire, eliminating the twin barriers of high ticket prices and unfamiliar venues, and working with neighborhood leaders to enrich the cultural offerings of their communities. In so doing, CityMusic Cleveland builds audiences for both the musical and visual arts organizations in Northeast Ohio and beyond.

Total Number Served Annually: 20,000

Education Programs: The Clurie Bennis Children’s Outreach Series, launched in 2018, provides innovative multicultural arts programs for Cleveland children age 4-8. CityMusic produces 3-4 programs per school year that tell unique cultural stories through authentic music, theater and dance. Each program is presented in schools and libraries in underserved Cleveland neighborhoods including Slavic
Village, Collinwood, Clark-Fulton and Noble, as well as at the Children’s Museum of Cleveland. Programs serve all ages.
